Russian strikes on Kyiv cause fire in former British visa center

As a result of Russian night strikes on Kyiv, damage was recorded in eight districts. In particular, during the Russian attack, a fire broke out in the former British visa center, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
As of now, more than 40 locations have been identified with damage and debris from downed Russian drones and missiles.
"We have damage in 8 districts, and we are currently investigating several more locations. The Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts were the most affected," he added.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration added that a special helicopter from the State Emergency Service was involved in the cleanup. It was most active in the Shevchenkivskyi district, where 9 locations were affected.
Former visa center
In particular, the British visa center was damaged during the Russian strikes. Rescuers have already extinguished the fire there.
According to The Village Ukraine, the building has suffered extensive damage, with broken glass and window frames lying nearby. In particular, debris from the center is hanging from power lines.
According to a security guard at the business center, there were 3 people nearby during the attack, but they managed to escape.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
Last night, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine. In total, Russia struck Ukraine with:
- 315 Shahed-type strike drones and drone simulators
- 2 KN-23 ballistic missiles and 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles.
As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, 284 targets had been destroyed.
As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted, the Russian strike was one of the most massive attacks on Kyiv during the full-scale invasion.
Among other things, St. Sophia Cathedral was damaged during the Russian attack on Kyiv.
