Russian strike on Ukraine's Dnipro: 17 killed, nearly 280 injured

As a result of the Russian strike on the city of Dnipro on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 24, the death toll has risen to 17, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
"Two hundred seventy-nine people were injured, including 27 children. Doctors are nearby, providing the necessary medical assistance," Lysak said.
Initially, he reported that 16 people had been killed in the Russian strike on Dnipro, but later clarified that the death toll had risen to 17.

Earlier today, Russian forces launched missile strikes on the city of Dnipro. As a result of the attack, a passenger train operated by Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways - ed.) was also damaged.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that over 160 people were injured.
At the same time, military expert Ivan Stupak told RBC-Ukraine that the Russian missile strikes on Dnipro and Samar may have been aimed at military targets, although they could also be part of a psychological pressure campaign.
