Enemy strike on the Kharkiv suburbs: what is known
According to reports, a few minutes earlier, it was confirmed that Russia hit the Nova Poshta terminal near Kharkiv. The regional prosecutor's office released footage showing the aftermath of the attack. The video shows not only DSNS personnel extinguishing fires and clearing debris but also rescuers carrying injured people on stretchers to ambulances.
Most likely, the stretchers were carrying employees of Nova Poshta, as the clothing of one person in the footage resembled the company's uniform, though it was not clearly visible.
The Russian forces struck the Kharkiv suburbs with ballistic missiles in the early hours of January 13, with the Ukrainian Air Force warning of high-speed targets approaching the city. In addition to this attack, the enemy also targeted the city center itself, where a Shahed drone hit a children's sanatorium, causing a fire at the site in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
Attacks on Kharkiv and the surrounding region are a regular Russian tactic. The Russian units constantly strike the Kharkiv region, targeting both civilians and critical infrastructure to pressure Ukraine into surrendering and abandoning Donbas, as well as the occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions that Russia has managed to seize.
For example, before this attack, the enemy struck the Kharkiv region on January 9, 10, and 11.
