Russia struck the Nova Poshta terminal in the suburbs of Kharkiv - video has emerged showing emergency responders clearing debris and assisting the injured, according to a post by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

“The aftermath of the strike on the Nova Poshta terminal in the Kharkiv suburbs,” reads the comment under the video published by the prosecutor’s press service.

The footage shows State Emergency Service (DSNS) workers and other emergency teams dealing with the attack’s consequences. In addition to extinguishing fires and removing debris, rescuers can be seen carrying what appears to be a terminal employee on a stretcher - at least judging by the uniform, which resembles that of Nova Poshta staff.

Russia’s strike on Kharkiv suburbs

On the night of January 13, Russian forces struck the suburbs of Kharkiv after ballistic threats were announced in several regions and the Air Force reported a high-speed target in the area.

Later, reports emerged of a fire caused by explosions near Kharkiv, which were also heard in the city itself. The media reported two fatalities and several injuries as a result of the attack.

In addition, the enemy struck within Kharkiv city during a drone raid - a Shahed drone hit a children’s sanatorium, causing a fire.

Russia targets Kharkiv repeatedly

Russia regularly attacks Kharkiv and the surrounding region, which is a priority for Moscow. The Kharkiv region was one of four regions that President Putin aimed to include under his peace settlement conditions.

However, Ukraine rejected both Putin’s direct demands and the similar plan for Kharkiv that was initially included in the US peace plan, developed jointly with Russia. As reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the peace plan has now been significantly revised and is 90% ready.
