Russian reconnaissance ship spotted in occupied Ukrainian Sevastopol with heavy battle damage

In temporarily occupied Sevastopol, the Russian reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs was spotted with significant damage after an attack, reports Crimean Wind.
Intelligence operatives took photographs of the medium reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs of Project 18280 in Sevastopol near the pier in Holland Bay, the message says.
It is noted that the attack tore off part of the captain's bridge and funnel, and the mast on which antennas were mounted is "dressed" in construction scaffolding. Equipment at the stern is also missing, and the forecastle deck is covered with a camouflage net.
What is known about the ship
Ivan Khurs is a Russian medium reconnaissance ship intended for operations in sea and ocean zones. It is the first serial ship of Project 18280 and one of two built under this project.
It was included in Black Sea Fleet of Russia in June 2018. The ship was named in honor of Vice Admiral Ivan Khurs, who headed the intelligence branch of the Main Staff of the Soviet Navy from 1979 to 1987. The ship is capable of conducting radio reconnaissance and carrying out electronic warfare.

Strike on Ivan Khurs
On 25 March 2024, it first became known about a probable strike on the Russian ship Ivan Khurs during an attack on Crimea on 23 March.
Later, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed a strike on a Russian warship. In 2024, it was reported that reconnaissance equipment in the stern section had been damaged.
