Russian forces attacked Sumy in the morning with a Molniya attack drone. As a result of the enemy strike, a private house and non-residential buildings were damaged, according to the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.

"Early this morning, the enemy again struck our city. According to preliminary information, a Molniya-type UAV attack was carried out," Kobzar said.

According to him, as a result of the impact, the windows and the fence of a non-residential building were damaged, and several windows in a nearby house were shattered. Fortunately, there were no injuries or deaths.

Russian strikes on Sumy and the region

Russian forces have intensified attacks on Sumy and surrounding communities in recent months. Civilian infrastructure, private houses, and apartment buildings have been affected by the strike.

On the evening of November 2, Russian forces launched a missile strike on a village in the Lebedyn community of the Sumy region. As a result of the attack, two civilian women aged 55 and 65 were injured. The wounded were taken to hospitals.

Additionally, on November 1, a partial blackout occurred in Sumy due to a Russian attack. In the morning of November 1, Russian forces struck energy facilities in the city, and a 33-year-old man was injured in the attack. Closer to evening, Sumy and part of the region were left entirely without power.

Also, on the night of October 31, a Russian drone hit an apartment building in Sumy, causing a fire. A minor girl and an older woman were injured. They received assistance on-site. According to the regional administration, within one hour, Sumy was attacked by 10 Russian UAVs.
