Russian military presence detected along border with Ukraine’s Chernihiv region

Russian military presence has been observed along the border with Ukraine's Chernihiv region. The Russian forces are keeping Ukrainian military units on edge and restraining them, stated Vadym Mysnyk, spokesperson for the Siversk operational group.
"We're seeing Russian military activity all along the border. Their goal is to keep our forces tense and contained so we can't move them to hotter areas of the front," Mysnyk said.
He also noted that the highest concentration of Russian troops and shelling is observed across from Sumy region, in Russia's Kursk region. According to Mysnyk, Russian forces are building up in that area and attempting to expand the zone of active hostilities. However, Ukrainian troops are effectively repelling attacks and preventing any deeper incursions.
