Russia's combat losses in Ukraine continue to mount, with Ukrainian forces reporting fresh damage to Moscow's manpower and weapons stockpile. The new daily tally from Ukraine's Defense Forces outlines losses across multiple categories of military equipment on the front lines.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 7, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
Ukrainian forces have repelled Russian attacks across several sectors, with no confirmed Russian advances in northern Sumy or Kharkiv regions. Ukrainian troops are reportedly counterattacking and regaining positions near Hoptivka and Kudiivka.
Last night, Ukrainian drones struck Russia's Ryazan and Rostov regions, triggering a fire at the Ryazan oil refinery and activating air defenses in Rostov. Explosions were reported in both regions.
