Russian forces suffer new setbacks on multiple fronts in Ukraine — ISW

Over the past few days, Russia has been conducting offensive operations, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully repelled Russian troops in various sectors of the front, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
On September 4–5, Russian troops continued limited offensive operations in the north of the Sumy region, but made no confirmed advances. At the same time, according to a source linked to the Russian Northern Military District, Ukrainian defenders are advancing along the railroad between Taratutyne and Riasne, southeast of Sumy.
In the north of the Kharkiv region and in the area of Velykyi Burluk, the Russians also launched attacks but were unable to achieve success.
According to one Russian source, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are counterattacking and regaining lost positions near Hoptivka and Kudiivka.
Meanwhile, Russian military bloggers are claiming, without evidence, that Ukrainian forces have been surrounded between the Vovchansk and Velykyi Burluk sectors.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops continued offensive operations on September 4–5, but made no confirmed territorial gains.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces launched medium-range strikes against Russian logistics facilities in the occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a Russian MESH network repeater, radar stations, and electronic warfare systems.
