Following Ukraine's long-range strikes, fuel sales have been restricted at Tatneft gas stations across Russia, according to Russian media and Andriy Kovalenko, head of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation.
Limits on gasoline and diesel
Tatneft has restricted fuel sales at all of its gas stations across Russia. However, the company says the restrictions are temporary.
At gas stations in Chelyabinsk, drivers are being informed that:
-
Gasoline for passenger vehicles is limited to no more than 30 liters per purchase;
-
Diesel fuel for passenger vehicles is limited to no more than 60 liters;
-
Diesel fuel for trucks is limited to 300 liters.
Cash only
In addition to limits on fuel quantities, the payment method has also changed. According to a Tatneft hotline operator, some gas stations are not accepting bank cards and are only accepting cash.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation clarified that the restrictions have been introduced across Russia.
"The result of Putin's adventure is Russia's shame and his personal shame. For every Russian, it also means a deterioration in living conditions today, and that is fair. Because Russians are responsible for the war and for keeping Putin in power in Russia," Kovalenko added.
Ukrainian drones previously struck the Moscow Oil Refinery in the Kapotnya district, the largest refinery in the Russian capital, which supplies about 35% of Moscow's fuel market.
Ukraine's General Staff disclosed the consequences of the strike. The ELOU AVT-6 primary oil processing unit was damaged. A major fire broke out at the refinery.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the European Union to accelerate Ukraine's accession process as one of the most effective responses to Russia's ongoing strikes. According to him, Ukraine is already ready to open all negotiation clusters.
