Russian strategy
According to the Ukrainian military, Russians are trying to break through to the central part of Hryshyne, conducting simultaneous assaults from the north and south.
"The Russians are also trying to completely take control of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding certain positions on the northern outskirts of these settlements," the group says in a statement.

Armed Forces of Ukraine's response
Ukrainian defenders are actively countering Russian intentions by taking comprehensive measures to deter assaults. Ukrainian Defense Forces are carrying out:
- enhanced aerial reconnaissance to detect Russian movements;
- additional mining of likely routes of advance;
- blocking Russian logistics;
- systematic search and strike operations.
Strike drone units, artillery, and aviation are involved in the fight against Russian troops, inflicting significant losses on the Russians in terms of manpower and equipment.
Russian losses
The area of responsibility of the East Operational-Tactical Group remains one of the most intense spots on the front line. Over the past day, the largest Russian losses were recorded here - 347 Russian troops.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed 1,539 Russian drones of various types and hit or destroyed 121 other Russian weapons and equipment.
Ukrainian Defense Forces are paying special attention to the destruction of Russian drone operators. Over the past day, Russian 64 drone control points were hit.
Hryshyne and battles
The village of Hryshyne is part of the Pokrovsk community and is located less than 10 kilometers from Pokrovsk. Before the full-scale Russian invasion, it had a population of about 2,000.
The Ukrainian military has repeatedly reported attempts by Russian units to break through to the village.
In particular, at the end of January, Russian troops carried out a mechanized assault on the village of Hryshyne. However, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the attack, destroying Russian armored vehicles and eliminating the Russian troops.
And in early February, the Ukrainian military destroyed a self-propelled artillery unit of Russian paratroopers. This thwarted the Russians' preparations for an assault on Hryshyne.
Currently, the village remains one of the key targets of Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction, as capturing the village would allow the Russian troops to complicate the logistics of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
