Russian forces are still managing to use Starlink terminals on the front line, although such cases are isolated, Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiichuk, commander of Ukraine's 7th Air Assault Corps, told RBC-Ukraine in an interview.
According to him, the enemy is still able to use Starlink, but this does not happen often.
"I cannot say that these are widespread cases. But the Russians are clever - they try to hack accounts, perhaps buy them from someone. So they still somehow manage to use Starlink," Lasiichuk said.
Starlink is blocked for Russian forces
Russian forces began using drones equipped with Starlink, after which Ukraine appealed to SpaceX founder Elon Musk to restrict their access.
Later, Starlink access for Russian forces was blocked. After that, the aggressor country's units experienced widespread communication disruptions, which significantly complicated command and control.
Russian attempts to switch to alternative means of communication proved less effective, creating additional problems for them on the front line.
