The Russian army today, on January 1st, attacked a building in the Sumy region using a Shahed drone. As a result, three people were injured, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
"An enemy UAV of the Shahed type hit a two-story residential building in the Esman community," the message stated.
The Regional State Administration has mentioned that there is destruction, and people are trapped under the rubble. All necessary services are working at the site of the strike.
Information on casualties
It is reported that preliminarily, three people have been rescued from under the debris. They are receiving medical assistance.
The search and rescue operation is ongoing.
Russian attack on Ukraine on New Year's Eve
Russian forces attacked Ukraine tonight using Shahed drones. Odesa, Dnipro, and Lviv were hit. There is information about casualties, fatalities, and infrastructure damage.
In total, Russian terrorists attacked Ukraine on New Year's Eve with 90 Shahed kamikaze drones and eight missiles. Air defense forces managed to destroy 87 enemy drones.
