UK may join arms procurement talks for Ukraine

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has not ruled out London joining Germany’s talks with the US on arms procurement for Ukraine, according to Bloomberg.
According to the outlet’s source, talks about the UK joining this initiative are still in the early stages between Britain, the US, and other European nations. No final decision has been made yet.
"We’re working with allies on the provision of capability,” as well as the backup that sits behind that to make sure any capability is effective in Ukraine," Starmer told reporters during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
New US military aid for Ukraine
A few days ago, amid escalating mass strikes by Russian forces, US President Donald Trump sharply criticized Vladimir Putin.
The White House leader pledged to provide more weapons to Ukraine, including 14 Patriot air defense systems and other military equipment, which will be funded by NATO member states.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz confirmed that the Patriot systems will arrive in Ukraine within a few weeks.
Starmer also stated that the Coalition of the Willing is working on deploying "deterrence forces" to Ukraine to help ensure lasting peace.
