Russian envoy may appear at Davos forum for first time since 2022

Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, will visit the World Economic Forum in Davos for talks with the US delegation for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, Reuters reports.
According to two sources cited by the agency, Dmitriev will hold a series of meetings with members of the US delegation.
Axios journalist Barak Ravid added that Kirill Dmitriev will meet in Davos with the US President's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
According to him, the meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, January 20, and will take place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum. The parties will discuss the US plan for a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine.

Earlier, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who heads the Ukrainian negotiating group, said that dialogue with the US side would continue during the Davos forum.
It is expected that Donald Trump will attend Davos in person this year, after participating remotely last year.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also said that Ukraine would definitely participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos this year. The Ukrainian delegation will be represented there at the highest level.
In addition, media previously reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump may sign an agreement on Ukraine's post-war reconstruction at the end of January, totaling $800 billion.
Media sources said that Zelenskyy and Trump would sign the agreement at the World Economic Forum, which will take place from January 19 to 23 in Davos. The plan is designed for 10 years and aims to support Ukraine's post-war recovery and the restart of its economy.
