On July 18, Russia launched ballistic missiles and drones toward Ukraine. A large-scale alert was declared due to the threat of an enemy strike.

During the night in Kyiv, the first damage from a drone attack was recorded — a drone fragment fell on a residential building in the Darnytskyi district.

Explosions were heard in Odessa. It was later confirmed that a woman died after a hostile drone hit the city.
