Four people have been injured in Zaporizhzhia following Russian drone strikes. The attacks damaged apartment buildings, private homes, and a kindergarten, reports Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

Fedorov confirmed that seven Shahed drones hit their targets, as reported earlier. Ukrainian forces also shot down some of the drones before they reached their intended targets.

Preliminary damage includes:

  • 6 apartment buildings;
  • 4 private homes;
  • A kindergarten, which suffered heavy destruction, had nearly 80% of its buildings destroyed.

One critical infrastructure facility was also damaged.

Utility services are preparing for emergency repairs, including boarding up windows, fixing roofs, and restoring damaged buildings. Fedorov said a detailed inspection of the affected areas will begin once the air raid alert is over.

"This is preliminary information. Final data will be available after all services complete their work. Already, four people have been injured as a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia," he explained.

Fedorov added that medical assistance was required for three women and one man.

"Their condition is assessed by medics as moderate. All victims are receiving the necessary medical care," Fedorov added.

Russian attacks across Ukraine

On the evening of September 6, air raid alerts were announced in Kyiv and several other regions due to the threat of Russian drone strikes.

Explosions soon followed in Zaporizhzhia. Within minutes, local residents reported disruptions to the electricity and water supply. RBC-Ukraine provided a detailed report on the attack and its aftermath.

As a reminder, over 90 Russian drones were launched across Ukraine overnight on September 6. Eight locations were hit, and debris fell in several other areas. Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted 68 drones in the north and east of the country.

Meanwhile, Russia targeted railway infrastructure in the Donetsk region overnight. Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the section before Sloviansk lost power, causing delays for multiple trains.
