This morning, September 6, Russian forces struck the railway in the Donetsk region, causing delays for several trains, according to the Telegram channel of Ukrzaliznytsia (national railway carrier of cargoes and passengers).

"The morning began with an attack on railway infrastructure in the Donetsk region. A section near Sloviansk has been de-energized, which will cause delays for both suburban and long-distance trains," Ukrzaliznytsia stated.

It is reported that for upcoming trips on the Kramatorsk route, backup locomotives and buses may be used on certain sections. Specialists are currently assessing the damage and estimating repair timelines.

"We are working to restore train service to ensure everyone reaches their destination. Any updates will be communicated," Ukrzaliznytsia added.
