Russia strikes Ukraine's Intercity+ passenger trains: Aftermath revealed

On the night of August 28, Russian troops struck civilian passenger rolling stock. The Intercity+ high-speed train fleet was damaged, according to Ukrainian Railways.
The fire at the facility was successfully extinguished.
One train was significantly damaged.

There were no casualties or injuries among Ukrainian Railways employees.
"No travels will be canceled: we are deploying replacement rolling stock for this purpose. We will keep you informed about delays, as the restoration of the damaged infrastructure is also ongoing," the agency said.
At the same time, due to damage to the railway junction infrastructure in Koziatyn, a number of trains are still running on a modified route.
In particular, the following trains are delayed by more than three hours:
- No. 77/78 Kovel-Pas.-Odesa-Holovna;
- No. 21/22 Kharkiv-Pas.-Lviv;
- No. 103/104 Kramatorsk-Lviv;
- No. 103/104 Lviv-Kramatorsk;
- No. 21/22 Lviv-Kharkiv-Pas;
- No. 47/48 Zaporizhia-1-Mukachevo;
- No. 87/88 Zaporizhia-1-Kovel-Pas;
- No. 139/140 Kyiv-Passenger-Kamianets-Podilskyi;
- No. 23/24 Kyiv-Pas-Chełm;
- No. 1/2 Vorokhta-Kharkiv-Pas;
- No. 123/124 Ivano-Frankivsk-Kharkiv-Pas.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported delays in the schedule of a number of trains due to a massive Russian attack and the de-energization of the railway infrastructure in the Vinnytsia region.
Some of these trains will bypass the damaged section, while those already on it will travel under reserve locomotives.
