Russian drone strike injures 30 at railway station in Shostka, Ukraine's PM says

Russian forces injured 30 people in Shostka, Sumy region, after carrying out a terrorist attack at the local railway station. The strike involved a double hit with drones, reports Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
She said around 30 people were wounded when Russian forces attacked passenger trains. Rescue teams, medics, and railway staff are working at the site to assess the damage.
"The enemy continues its tactic of striking railway facilities, civilian infrastructure, and crowded places, which it knows well. This was another brutal and cynical terrorist act. The world has no right to ignore it," the Prime Minister said.
Svyrydenko added that Ukraine needs more air defense systems. She called on the international community to impose tougher sanctions on Russia and act more decisively, saying only that can stop Russia's terror.
Russian strike on Shostka railway station

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared footage from the scene. Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Russian forces committed another war crime by using the double strike tactic.
The attack left Shostka and part of the district without power. Local authorities urged residents to conserve gas.
Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukraine's state railway operator) canceled several suburban trains in the region on October 4 and 5 following the Russian terrorist attack.
