Russian drone strike damages apartment block in Ukraine's Sumy, one injured

Russian forces attacked a residential apartment building in the Ukrainian city of Sumy with a Lancet strike drone on the evening of June 20, local officials reported. Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar and Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, confirmed that at least one civilian was injured in the attack.
"A Lancet drone hit a residential apartment building. As a result, one woman was injured," Kobzar said.
According to him, the woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Hryhorov, for his part, noted that Russian forces attacked the Sumy community with drones.

Hryhorov reported that the Russian drone strike in Sumy damaged the roof and about 20 windows in two five-story residential buildings.
According to him, the injured person is a 75-year-old woman who was at home at the time of the attack. She sustained shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized.
Attack on Sumy
Russian forces have intensified their attacks on the Sumy region amid efforts to create a so-called buffer zone.
On June 16, Russian forces carried out drone attacks on Sumy both during the night and throughout the day. The strikes shattered windows in residential buildings and damaged civilian infrastructure.
On the evening of June 18, Russian forces also struck the outskirts of Sumy using multiple rocket launchers. No casualties were reported from that attack.
