Fragments of Russian Geran drones were found in Romania. These drones were used by Russia to attack Ukrainian port infrastructure in the Odesa region on the night of February 13, according to the press service of the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry, representatives of the Romanian Defense Ministry, Ministry of Interior and Intelligence found fragments of Russian Geran drones after a search near the Romanian-Ukrainian border.

One drone crashed about a kilometer from the Danube near the border with Ukraine, and its fragments were found about 5 km west of the Ukrainian city of Reni.

The second was found 500 meters from the Danube bank and about 5 km south of Reni.

The investigation at the scene determined that both drones carried charges that exploded upon impact. This occurred outside populated areas.

Attack on Ukraine on February 13

On the night of February 13, Russia launched 140 Shahed-type drones and decoy UAVs against Ukraine, attacking from five directions.

A massive drone strike targeted the Odesa region, particularly the Izmail district. According to Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper, the attack damaged port infrastructure and a non-operational educational facility.

One person was injured when drone debris hit a car. A woman inside suffered a shrapnel wound to her thigh and was hospitalized in moderate condition.

Drone attacks were also reported in the Mykolaiv region.
