On the night of October 24, the Russian occupiers once again attacked the Kyiv region with drones. The wreckage of the drones fell in one of the districts of the region while repelling the attack, according to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Air alert was declared twice in the region, and during the repulsion of the Russian attack, air defense was deployed in the region, which helped to avoid hits to critical and residential infrastructure.

In one of the districts of the Kyiv region, minor damage to windows in the buildings of 2 enterprises was caused by the fall of Russian drone debris.

“In addition, a transformer casing was damaged and a grass floor caught fire. The fire has been extinguished,” he adds.

Currently, operational groups continue to work on fixing the consequences of the Russian night attack.

Shelling of Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion, constant terrorist shelling of Ukraine's territory has become a daily routine. Russian troops use various types of weapons: missiles, guided aerial bombs, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Recently, the Russian invaders have been particularly active in using drones, launching them almost every night to attack Ukraine.

On the night of October 24, Russians attacked Ukraine with:

  • 2 Kh-22 cruise missiles;
  • 2 Kh-59 guided missiles;
  • 50 Shahed drones and unidentified drones.

In total, as of 8:30, Ukrainian air defense destroyed 40 Russian drones.
