A Russian airstrike on the night of December 3 hit a critical infrastructure facility in Ternopil, causing partial power outages in the city, reports Ternopil Mayor Serhii Nadal.

“A hostile UAV struck a critical infrastructure facility in Ternopil. Part of the city is without electricity,” Nadal stated.

The mayor added that emergency service crews and energy workers are addressing the aftermath of the Russian attack. He urged residents to stock up on water, as disruptions in the water supply are expected due to the power outage.

"Energy and rescue teams are working to mitigate the attack’s consequences. Please stock up on water and charge your phones," Nadal wrote.

Recent Shahed drone strikes in Ternopil

This is the third attack in the past week targeting Ternopil's energy infrastructure using Shahed drones.

Last night, a civilian was killed, and several others were injured in Ternopil as a result of a Russian attack. The attack also caused a fire in the city.

On the night of November 26, explosions occurred in Ternopil during a massive kamikaze drone attack. As a result, the city experienced partial power outages, and there were also disruptions in water supply.

Local authorities reported that the attack by Shahed drones damaged the electrical infrastructure that powers Ternopil.

Additionally, on November 26, network restrictions were imposed in the Ternopil region due to the overnight drone attack.
