Russian attack on Poltava on February 1: Number of dead increases to 12, including 2 children
The number of fatalities in Poltava due to yesterday's Russian missile attack has once again increased. It is now reported that there are 12 victims, including children, states the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"Poltava: The number of fatalities has increased to 12 people, including 2 children," the emergency service reported on their Telegram channel at 7 a.m.
The State Emergency Service (SES) also informed that as a result of the Russian airstrike in Poltava, the number of injured has reached 17 people, including four children.
"22 people have been rescued," the Emergency Service reported.
They also added that an emergency rescue operation is ongoing at the site of the enemy attack.

Russian missile strike on Poltava on February 1
On the morning of February 1, Russian forces carried out a combined airstrike on Ukraine, also hitting Poltava. The invaders targeted a residential building.
Rescue operations have been ongoing for nearly a day at the site of the Russian strike in Poltava.
Throughout yesterday, the number of casualties and injuries due to the enemy shelling increased. Late in the evening the previous day, the State Emergency Service reported that an injured person had died in the hospital, bringing the death toll to 11 at that time.
