Russian attack on Odesa leaves woman dead under rubble

Russian forces launched another overnight attack on Odesa on February 14. A residential building was destroyed in the strike, and rescuers later found a woman's body under the rubble, according to the Telegram posts by the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, and Ukraine's State Emergency Service.
"Overnight, the enemy once again attacked the region with strike drones. In Odesa, a UAV hit damaged the roof of a single-story residential building. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. Unfortunately, a woman was killed in the attack," Oleh Kiper said.
Serhii Lysak уточнив that the victim was a woman born in 1950. She was found under the rubble. He also added that, in addition to the destroyed house, the blast wave shattered windows in neighboring homes.

"Glazing of nearby outbuildings and private homes was damaged. A psychologist from the State Emergency Service was working at the scene, providing necessary support to people who found themselves at the epicenter of the disaster and lost a loved one," rescuers added, confirming that there were other consequences besides the destroyed house.
Shelling of Odesa and the region
It should be recalled that the Odesa region is subjected to attacks almost daily. In particular, on the evening of February 12, a multi-story residential building was damaged as a result of shelling in Odesa. A recreational infrastructure facility was also hit, where utility buildings later caught fire.
On the night of February 10, the occupiers targeted the region's energy infrastructure. In the south, damage was recorded to an energy facility as well as to an administrative building.
Moreover, on the night of February 9, both Odesa and the region came under fire. In the regional center, residential buildings were damaged, one person was killed and two others were injured. A gas pipeline was also damaged, and cars caught fire.
