Drone strike hits apartment building as Russia attacks Odesa overnight

On the evening of February 12, Russian forces once again continued bombing Odesa. The first consequences of the drone attack have been recorded, according to a Telegram post by the head of the Odesa Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.
Odesa has once again come under attack by unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the strike, damage to civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and commercial facilities has been recorded, and fires broke out in several districts.
Residential building damaged
According to local authorities, a high-rise building was hit during the attack. An apartment on the upper floors of the building was damaged, though no fire occurred inside the living premises. Rescue services are conducting inspections and clarifying the extent of the destruction.
Fires at infrastructure facilities
In addition to residential buildings, a recreational infrastructure facility was hit. Fires were recorded in outbuildings there.
In another district of the city, a fire broke out at a commercial facility. Emergency service units have been deployed to eliminate the consequences.
Situation in the city
Information about casualties is being уточнено. An air raid alert remains in effect in the city, and residents are urged to stay in shelters until an official all-clear is announced. Operational services are working at the incident sites.

According to DTEK, since October 2025, this is already the eleventh massive attack on the company’s thermal power plants, indicating the systematic nature of strikes on energy infrastructure.
On the night of February 12, Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined attack across Ukraine, using ballistic missiles and strike drones against several regions. The main удар targeted Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa; in total, according to authorities, 24 ballistic missiles and 219 unmanned aerial vehicles were used.
