Russia attacked Odesa and the surrounding region with strike drones overnight, killing one, injuring several, and damaging homes and cars, according to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa regional military administration.

"On the night of February 9, Russia carried out a massive drone strike on Odesa and the region. Residential buildings were damaged in Odesa. Unfortunately, one person was killed, and two others were injured. We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and wish the victims a speedy recovery," Kiper says.

According to him, one of the Russian drones hit the roof of a high-rise building, causing a fire. In addition, Russia damaged a gas pipe was damaged. Passenger cars also caught fire, and the facades and windows of several buildings were damaged.

"Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire. Emergency and utility services continue to work at the scene, eliminating the consequences and providing assistance to residents," adds the head of the Odesa regional military administration.

Russian strikes on Odesa and region

On February 4, the Russian army attacked Odesa with strike drones at night, damaging a house and a school.

The Russian strikes also caused a large fire at a factory, which firefighters quickly extinguished. According to preliminary information, one person was injured.

On the night of January 27, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on Odesa and the region, using more than 50 drones. Residential areas and civilian infrastructure were hit. There are wounded, and casualties, and the search for people under the rubble continues.
