Zelenskyy's response to Russian night attack on Kyiv
The President notes that Russia deployed over 120 drones and 12 missiles overnight, half of which were ballistic. Ukrainian defenders shot down most of the targets, but not the ballistic missiles.
11 people were wounded in Kyiv during the nighttime Russian attack, including a child. Even before the air raid alert was issued, civilian infrastructure had already been hit.
Emergency services are working at the sites. Residential buildings, offices, and a theological seminary were damaged.
Cleanup efforts following the Russian strikes are also underway in the Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.
"We expect our partners to fulfill their promises regarding the support packages to protect our people, which were agreed upon during the NATO meeting. We must move as quickly as possible on the agreements regarding Patriot licenses and the joint European anti-ballistic missile project," Zelenskyy says.
