Russian attack on Kyiv damaged Turkish factory, Zelenskyy informs Erdoğan

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to Zelenskyy, during the strike on Kyiv on August 28, Russian forces attacked a Turkish plant, reported the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I spoke with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I thank him for such support of Ukraine, our people, for constant readiness and willingness to help achieve real peace. We greatly appreciate all assistance from Türkiye," the message said.
Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine is ready to speak in the leaders' format, since this is currently the only effective format. However, Russia avoids such a conversation and continues the war.
Zelenskyy also told Erdoğan about the Russian missile strike on Ukraine on August 28. According to him, the Russians used more than 30 missiles and about 600 drones, killing 17 civilians, including four children.
At the same time, the enemy attacked not only residential areas. The Russian attack hit a Turkish enterprise, the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the Representation of the European Union, and the British Council.
"This is Putin's response to all attempts by Ukraine, the United States, and our European partners to stop the killings. That is why pressure is needed — sanctions, tariffs, political pressure. We are counting on strong steps," Zelenskyy summed up.
A number of Ukrainian public sources on August 28 spread information that a plant of the Turkish company Baykar near Kyiv had allegedly come under attack. As of now, there is no official confirmation of this information.
