As a result of the night massive attack on Kyiv, destruction was recorded in all districts of the capital. This happened for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.

"We are synchronizing in real time regarding the liquidation of the consequences of the attack. With the State Emergency Service, and with city services, with DTEK, gas workers, and the district. And even with the region, because the regional hospital in the Podilskyi district suffered," he emphasized.

Tkachenko reported that every 4 hours, everyone reports according to their direction. According to him, today, very good coordination between all services has been established.

The head of the KCMA noted that the primary assistance to people still remains a difficult issue:

  • Regarding the restoration of documents,

  • Regarding the registration of aid.

He reported that, as a result of the Russian attack, many thousands of windows were broken. Only in the Holosiivskyi district — up to 80 houses suffered.

In areas with significant damage, a mobile unit of the State Migration Service was deployed to provide a passport service. A mobile service center operated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs is also in operation.

As a result of the enemy attack, Kyiv residents lost transport; all this, according to Tkachenko, is being documented.

"People must have the opportunity to restore lost documents. Thanks for this assistance," he added.

The head of the KCMA added that in several locations it is still necessary to restore gas supply and Kyivgaz is already working on this.

"There are points of outage of electricity. Specialists are working and will be able to reconnect everything as soon as rescuers complete the work. We have 33 locations with consequences, at 18 rescuers are involved. We have an anti-record — damage in all districts of the city. A hard day, but we are working," he summarized.

Number of dead increased

According to Tkachenko, as of 03:51 p.m. local time rescuers unblocked another body.

Thus, the number of dead at the hands of Russia only today in Kyiv is 18 people.

Attack on Kyiv

On the night of August 28, the enemy carried out one of the largest-scale attacks on Kyiv in recent times. The aggressor’s troops used a large number of missiles and kamikaze drones. The spokesman of the Air Forces of Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, noted that this was one of the most massive shellings of the capital.

As a result of the strike in the Darnytskyi district, a missile hit a five-story residential building. One of the entrances was completely destroyed, the strike occurred at the level of the third to fourth floor, which caused large-scale destruction.

Due to the enemy attack, traffic on several important streets was blocked.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the shelling and called on international partners, in particular China and Hungary, to decisive actions against Russian aggression.
