Zelenskyy urges global reaction to Russian strike on Kyiv

In Kyiv, the clearing of rubble continues after another massive strike by Russia. Missiles and drones hit a residential building, resulting in at least eight deaths, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
"Now in Kyiv, the clearing of rubble of an ordinary residential building continues after the Russian strike. Another massive strike against our cities and communities. Again killings. Already known, unfortunately, that about eight people are dead. Among them, one child. My condolences to all relatives and loved ones," the president noted.
He informed that people may still be under the rubble. In addition, already know about dozens of wounded.
"These today’s Russian missiles and strike drones are a clear answer to everyone in the world who for weeks and months called for a ceasefire and for real diplomacy. Russia chooses ballistics, not the negotiation table. Chooses to continue killing, not to end the war. And this means that Russia still does not fear consequences," emphasized the head of Ukraine.
He stressed that Russia still uses the fact that at least part of the world closes its eyes to the killed children and seeks justifications for the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
"We expect the reaction of China to what is happening. China repeatedly called for non-expansion of the war and for a ceasefire. This does not exist because of Russia. We expect the reaction of Hungary. The death of children should definitely cause more emotions than anything," the president reported.
Zelenskyy noted that Kyiv expects the reaction of everyone in the world who called for peace, and now "more often keeps silent than takes principled positions."
At the same time, the president called on the world to strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation.
"And already definitely time for new tough sanctions against Russia for everything that it does. Already, all deadlines are broken, dozens of opportunities for diplomacy spoiled. Russia must feel its responsibility for every strike, for every day of this war. Eternal memory to all victims of Russia!" summed up the head of Ukraine.
Attack on Kyiv
Tonight, the Russian troops carried out another attack on the Ukrainian capital. In particular, a five-story building in the Darnytskyi district of the city was hit by a missile.
It is reported that the enemy hit the building with a missile that, likely, entered at the height of the third–fourth floor. This led to significant destruction.
Because of the enemy attack in Kyiv temporarily blocked traffic on a number of key streets.
As it is known, currently in Kyiv simultaneously work about 500 rescuers and 1000 law enforcement officers.
According to operational information, at least 24 people received injuries of different degrees of severity. Among the dead is a 14-year-old girl.
