Overnight on August 28, Russia carried out its most massive attack in recent times, launching over 600 drones and missiles of various types across Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.

During the night of August 28, the enemy struck Ukraine using strike drones, air- and ground-launched missiles, totaling 629 aerial targets:

"Another brutal Russian attack, more civilian casualties, including children. We express our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones. Russian military criminals will be held accountable," emphasized the Ukrainian Air Force.

Attack on Kyiv

Last night, Russian forces carried out another attack on Ukraine’s capital.

In particular, the Russian army struck a five-story residential building in the Darnytskyi district. Reports indicate that the missile likely hit at the height of the third to fourth floor, causing significant destruction.

The entire entrance of the five-story building in Darnytskyi district collapsed.

Due to the enemy strike, authorities temporarily closed traffic on several key streets in Kyiv. Currently, around 500 rescuers and 1,000 law enforcement officers are working in the city.

Operational information reports at least 24 people injured with varying degrees of severity. Among the dead is a 14-year-old girl.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already reacted to last night’s Russian attack. Zelenskyy specifically called on China and Hungary, allies of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, to respond.
