Russian ambassador summoned to UK over strikes on Kyiv, media reports

Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrey Kelin was summoned to the Foreign Office over the massive attack on Kyiv by Russian forces, BBC reports.
According to the outlet, the reason was the serious damage to the British Council building in the Ukrainian capital as a result of the overnight strikes.
Kelin is expected to hold a meeting with Foreign Office representatives, but not with the minister or his deputies.
What is known about the attack
Last night, Russian forces carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv. Russia struck the capital with Shaheds, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, including Kinzhal missiles.
Diplomatic missions came under attack by the terrorist state. In particular, the European Union's mission building in Ukraine was damaged.
President of the European Council António Costa stated that the Russian forces deliberately damaged the EU representation, which supports Ukraine in the war. However, this will not intimidate the European community.
At the same time, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized that Russia struck diplomats — in direct violation of the Vienna Convention.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that the situation requires not only condemnation from the EU but also a response from the entire world, adding that Ukraine expresses solidarity with EU colleagues and is ready to provide them with assistance.
