EU condemns deliberate Russian strike on its diplomatic mission in Ukraine

During a night attack on Kyiv, Russians deliberately damaged the building of the European Union delegation, which supports Ukraine in the war. However, this will not intimidate the European community, says European Council President António Costa.
The President of the European Council says he is shocked by another night of deadly Russian missile strikes on Ukraine.
"My thoughts are with the Ukrainian victims and also with the staff of the EU Delegation, whose building was damaged in this deliberate Russian strike. The EU will not be intimidated. Russia’s aggression only strengthens our resolve to stand with Ukraine and its people," Costa says.
He stresses that the EU will not be intimidated by such strikes, and that Russian aggression only strengthens the European Union's determination to support Ukraine and its people.
Russian attack on Kyiv on August 28
Russia carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv last night. Not only civilian objects but also diplomatic institutions were targeted by Russia. In particular, the building of the European Union mission in Ukraine was damaged.
Also today, the Russians hit a shopping center located in the center of Kyiv, and residential buildings near the shopping center were damaged.
In addition, Russian troops launched a targeted strike on the Intercity train, which was supposed to depart today on the Kyiv-Kharkiv route. Images of the damaged train were posted online.
