Russian air strikes on Zaporizhzhia: Number of wounded increased
As a result of the night attack by Russian troops on the center of Zaporizhzhia, the number of injured increased to 16 people. Four of them were hospitalized, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Administration Ivan Fedorov.
According to the updated information, four women are in the hospital in moderate condition, while the rest of the victims are being treated at home.
The attack caused significant damage: 13 high-rise buildings, educational institutions, private homes, garages, and cars were damaged. The Russians carried out at least seven air strikes on the city and Zaporizhzhia district.
Rescuers, utilities, and volunteers are working at the sites of the attacks. The points of unbreakability have been set up to provide the victims with the necessary assistance and information.
At 10:30 a.m. the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that the number of victims of the Russian night attack in Zaporizhzhia has increased to 17 people, including one child.
Rescuers, police, explosives experts, volunteers of the Rapid Response Unit of the Ukrainian Society of the Red Cross, and other specialized services of the city were working on the spot.
Russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia
On September 22, at around 11 p.m., explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia. Before that, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of Russian airstrikes.
Subsequently, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Administration and the National Police of Zaporizhzhia region reported that the Russian occupiers had probably used guided aerial bombs. Six strikes were recorded in Zaporizhzhia and its environs between 10:19 p.m. and 11:04 p.m.
