As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on July 26, there were 69 combat clashes along the front line with Russian forces. The hottest areas remain the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions, which accounted for more than half of all engagements, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Border settlements continue to suffer artillery shelling from Russian territory. This includes Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv region, as well as Doroshivka and Hirky in the Sumy region. Shostka was hit by an airstrike," the report said.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled six Russian attacks. The enemy shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 162 times with artillery and dropped six guided bombs.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Starytsia and in the area of Vovchansk three times. All attacks were repelled.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions near Radkivka, Kupiansk, and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 11 attacks near Novyi Myr, Zelenyi Hai, Hrekivka, Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, Karpivka, and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, one Russian assault was repelled.

In the Toretsk direction, there was one enemy attack attempt near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops attempted 35 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Novotoretsk, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka, Oleksiivka, and toward Novopidhorodne.

In the Novopavlivka direction, two Russian attacks occurred near Temyrivka.

In the Huliaipole direction, no attacks were recorded, but one airstrike was reported.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attempted two attacks near Kamianske.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian troops made four attempts to attack Ukrainian positions.

"No significant changes were recorded on other front lines," the report noted.

Russian losses in the Ukraine war

On July 25 alone, Russian forces lost 1,080 personnel. Seven tanks and seven armored combat vehicles were destroyed or damaged. Additionally, 35 artillery systems, two multiple-launch rocket systems, 125 drones, and 158 vehicles were taken out. Since February 2022, Russian troop losses have exceeded one million personnel.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, earlier stated that Russian forces have mobilized maximum resources to carry out their frontline plans. However, Ukrainian forces maintain the capability to defeat Russian offensive groups.
