Russia strikes Zlatopil in Kharkiv region: Casualties reported
Today, Russia launched 2 rocket attacks on the town of Zlatopil, Lozova district, Kharkiv region. The first one hit a banking institution, and the second one hit the administrative building, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
As a result of the Russian strike near a banking institution, several non-residential buildings and civilian cars were damaged.
Russia hit the administrative building again, causing further destruction and injuries among the civilian population.
Initially, 5 people were reported injured in the Russian shelling.
According to updated data, a total of 10 people were injured.
Among them are 2 men aged 49 and 59, and 8 women aged 29 to 62.
8 victims who were injured during the repeated Russian shelling were hospitalized.
Rescuers and medics continue to work at the scene. Law enforcement officers are collecting data on the extent of the damage and the nature of the shelling.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported that the Russian army had preliminarily fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles at the city.
“Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by the Russian military,” the office said.
In late November, Russia shelled the center of Kharkiv. The attack hit the Kyivskyi district of the city. Rescuers were working at the site to put out the fire. Initially, six people were reported injured, but later the number increased to ten.
Russia also launched a massive strike on Ukrainian energy facilities on November 28, causing widespread power outages across the country, casualties and destruction.
