On the night of January 218, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 146 strike drones from different directions. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 103 Russian drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

From 6 p.m. Kyiv time on January 27 to the morning of January 28, the Russians attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region, as well as 146 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of strike drones from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia, Chauda, Gvardeyskoye - temporarily occupied Crimea.

About 90 of the drones launched by the Russians were Shahed.

Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9 a.m., air defense forces shot down/suppressed 103 Russian Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones in the north, south, center, and east of Ukraine.

A Russian ballistic missile and 36 strike drones were recorded hitting 22 locations.

"Russian attack continues, there are several Russian drones in the airspace. Follow the safety rules!" warns the Ukrainian Air Force.

Russian strike on Ukraine

On the night of January 28, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with strike drones. As a result of the Russian strikes, a high-rise building and several cars were damaged in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv.

Russia also struck Odesa again that night with drones. Several objects, including a religious complex and residential buildings, were damaged, but there were no casualties.

Russia also struck the Bilohorodka community in the Kyiv region. An apartment building was damaged, and two people were killed. Four more people sought medical attention. A young woman and two children suffered acute stress reactions, and a man was poisoned by combustion products.

In the early morning, the Russians struck Zaporizhzhia. 2 people were injured. In addition, over 100 apartments and 20 cars were damaged as a result of a fire that broke out at the site of the strike.
