Russia strikes Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia: Over 100 apartments damaged, civilians injured

On the morning of January 28, the Russian army launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia. Two people were injured, and more than 100 apartments were damaged, according to Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov.
"Russians struck the regional center at dawn, hitting the courtyard of a multi-story residential building," Fedorov said.
As a result of the fire that broke out at the impact site, more than 100 apartments and 20 cars were damaged.

Initially, it was reported that there were no casualties.
Later, people began seeking medical assistance.
Medical help was provided to an 88-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man.
Attacks on Zaporizhzhia
The Russian army regularly attacks the Zaporizhzhia region and the regional center, using drones, aerial bombs, and missiles.
Thus, on the night of January 26, Russians carried out two attacks on Zaporizhzhia. Following the second attack, a fire broke out in the city again, resulting in damage to buildings.
The first attack on Zaporizhzhia that night occurred at around 01:00. A fire was recorded at the site of the enemy strike, but there were no casualties.
In addition, the enemy carried out an attack on Volniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region that night. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out, and residential buildings were damaged.
Also, on the night of January 21, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging private houses and outbuildings. Throughout the night, Fedorov reported a threat of the use of ballistic missiles, guided aerial bombs, and later drones in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Earlier, on the night of January 18, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with groups of strike drones. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in a residential area.
