Russia strikes Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kryvyi Rih: Consequences revealed

Russia struck Ukrainian cities again overnight. People were killed in the Kyiv region, dozens of houses were damaged and destroyed in Zaporizhzhia, and drone strikes were recorded in the capital and Odesa.

Kyiv
On the night of January 28, Russian troops attacked Kyiv. In the Holosiivskyi district, a Russian strike on a 17-story residential building caused minor damage to the roof and wall of the technical floor, as well as damage to windows on the upper floors. Cars parked nearby were also damaged.

In addition, debris from a Russian drone that fell onto the roof of a two-story non-residential building caused a fire, which has already been extinguished.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
Kyiv region
The most tragic consequences were recorded in the Bucha district. In the Bilohorodka community, a large-scale fire broke out in an apartment on the 7th floor of a 7-story residential building as a result of a Russian attack by a Geran-2 drone.

While extinguishing the fire, rescuers found the bodies of 2 victims. 4 more people were injured: a woman, 2 children born in 2016 and 2021 with acute stress reactions, and a man with smoke inhalation.
The fire was extinguished at 5:15 a.m. Kyiv time in an area of 600 square meters.
Zaporizhzhia
Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia twice, hitting the courtyard of a high-rise building, causing a fire, damaging over 100 apartments and about 20 cars, and at least 12 residential buildings were destroyed.

Some of the buildings are temporarily without electricity. Utility services are closing broken windows and clearing the area.
As of 8 a.m., 4 people are known to have been injured: a 38-year-old man and three women aged 88, 65, and 55. All have received medical attention.
Kryvyi Rih
The city suffered a Russian ballistic missile strike on an infrastructure facility.
2 people were injured in the Russian attack: a 51-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man. Doctors are providing them with the necessary assistance.
Odesa
Russian drones attacked the Odesa region. In the Kyivskyi district of Odesa, a drone hit the territory of an Orthodox monastery, causing a fire. The drone also hit a private residential building.
According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries.
