Russia strikes Ukraine with 165 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

Russian troops attacked Ukrainian territory at night with various types of strike drones. Most of the Russian targets were destroyed by air defense forces, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
On the night of January 27, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 165 Shahed-type strike drones, including jet drones, as well as Gerberas, Italmas, and other types of drones.
The drones flew from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia, as well as from Hvardiiske and Chauda of the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as by mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
"According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m. Kyiv time, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 135 Russian drones in the north, south, center, and east of the country," the Ukrainian Air Force says.
At the same time, 24 Russian drones were recorded in 14 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones in 9 locations.
"Russian attack continues, with several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow the safety rules," the Armed Forces of Ukraine adds.
Russian strike on Ukraine on January 27
Russian troops attacked several regions of Ukraine with strike drones at night, damaging critical infrastructure and civilian buildings.
On the night of January 27, Russia struck Odesa. Residential buildings in the very center of the city, in the Khadzhybeiskyi district, were hit.
As a result of the Russian strikes, damage was recorded to infrastructure, apartment buildings, a kindergarten, a store, and a construction site. Russian strikes hit several locations, causing significant destruction and fires.
In addition, the Russian army struck infrastructure in the Lviv region in the morning. All relevant services are working at the site.
