Russia strikes Ukraine's power grid on Christmas Eve: Aftermath revealed

On Christmas Eve, December 25, Russia continued its attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities. As a result, there are power outages in a number of regions of Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Power outages have affected residents in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions. At the same time, the outages in the Odesa region are related to the consequences of previous Russian strikes.
The Energy Ministry says energy workers are working around the clock to repair damaged equipment and restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible.
"Today, hourly power outage schedules and power restriction schedules for businesses are in effect in all regions of Ukraine," the Ministry of Energy says.
The current schedules can be found on the official websites of regional distribution system operators.

Today, December 25, forced emergency power outages were introduced in Odesa to avoid overloading damaged equipment.
The day before, Russia struck an important energy facility in Chernihiv. As a result, tens of thousands of residents were left without electricity.
