Russia strikes Ukraine's Odesa high-rise: Photos show aftermath of deadly drone hit

At least one person was killed in Odesa after a Russian drone hit a residential high-rise overnight, reports Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov and Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
Local authorities said a Russian drone struck a multi-story apartment building, killing at least one person. The number of injured is being clarified.
"The aftermath of the large-scale enemy attack is still being dealt with. Preliminary reports confirm one fatality and at least three injured," Kiper said.
Emergency services are working at the scene, he added. Further details will be provided later.

Russia's attack on Ukraine, July 18
Russian forces launched ballistic missiles and drones toward Ukraine on July 18. Around 7:30 PM Kyiv time, they fired a series of high-speed targets. Explosions were reported in the Poltava region.
Russia also deployed several waves of attack drones. The Air Force of Ukraine warned that enemy drones were approaching the capital. Air raid alerts were issued again in Kyiv. Air defense systems were active.
In Kyiv, debris from a Russian drone hit a residential building in the Darnytskyi district. The attack caused visible damage.
In Odesa, explosions were reported as more than 20 Russian Shahed drones approached the city from multiple directions. Civilian infrastructure was hit. A high-rise building caught fire, and residents were trapped inside.
