Consequences of Russian attacks

"Russia has struck energy infrastructure in the Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Emergency repair work is ongoing," the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine says.

According to Ukrenergo, as a result of the Russian attacks on energy facilities, power outages were reported in several regions this morning.

The most difficult situation remains in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, where many consumers have been without electricity since yesterday.

Ukrenergo warns that due to the difficult situation in the power system caused by the consequences of Russian strikes, electricity consumption restrictions are in effect in most regions of Ukraine.

As of this morning, hourly power cuts are in effect for the first stage, and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Kyiv time, power restrictions are in effect for industry and business.

Consumption is growing

The electricity demand continues to increase. According to Ukrenergo, as of 6:30 a.m. on November 7, consumption was 1.9% higher than at the same time the previous day.

Up-to-date information on the schedules can be found on the websites and pages of regional distribution system operators.

Energy companies are calling on Ukrainians to use electricity rationally, especially during peak hours in the morning and evening. This will help reduce the load on the power system and avoid additional emergency outages.

Russian attack on Odesa region

DTEK reported that the enemy attacked the company's energy facility in the Odesa region at night.

"All buildings were quickly reconnected using backup schemes," DTEK says.

Energy workers will begin restoration work as soon as they receive permission from the military and rescue services. The company notes that the damage is serious, so repairs will take time.

Russian strikes on Ukraine on November 7 and consequences

Last night, the Russian army once again attacked the Odesa region with drones. Hits on energy facilities were recorded. Warehouses and an administrative building were also damaged. There were no casualties.

Russia also struck Zaporizhzhia today. The blast wave knocked out windows in residential buildings and a kindergarten in the city.

Power consumption restrictions have been reintroduced in a number of regions of Ukraine. This is a necessary step due to the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
