Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine stated that Russia changed its tactics for striking Ukraine's energy infrastructure in the fall of 2025. The enemy is attempting to disrupt transmission systems and maneuverable power generation in specific areas.

On October 29, the Russians attacked critical infrastructure in the center of Chernihiv. A Russian strike by an attack drone was recorded there. According to local authorities, there were no casualties.

In the Odesa region, Russia damaged the DTEK energy facility, and an employee was injured as a result of a nighttime Russian attack. Nearly 30,000 homes were left without power.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that the massive Russian strikes indicate that Moscow is preparing a blackout for Ukraine again this year.

At the same time, the government is prepared for any scenario: from ordinary emergencies to massive shelling during the winter of 2025-2026.
