On the night of June 6, Russians launched a combined attack on Chernihiv. They hit a residential area, there is destruction and people are wounded, according to the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Viacheslav Chaus.

According to preliminary information, Russian troops attacked Chernihiv with Geran-2 drones, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and Iskander-M.

Russian strikes damaged apartment buildings and private houses. 4 people were injured, one of whom was hospitalized in moderate condition.

The company and infrastructure facilities were also damaged.

"There may be people under the rubble. Search and rescue operations are ongoing," Chaus adds.

Part of Chernihiv left without power

In a comment to Suspilne, the spokesperson for Chernihivoblenergo, a joint-stock company (JSC), Kateryna Drozdova, said that the attack damaged the equipment of the power grids. Currently, 39,600 subscribers in Chernihiv and the villages of Voznesenske, Kyselivka, and Novoselivka are without electricity.

Russian massive attack on Ukraine on June 6

On the night of June 6, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine with missiles and drones. In Kyiv, debris from downed Russian air targets fell in different parts of the city. Multi-story buildings, infrastructure, a subway line, and a gas station were damaged. As of the morning, 4 people were reported killed and 20 wounded.

Russia also struck industrial and infrastructure facilities in Ternopil. This is one of the largest Russian attacks on Ternopil since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Lutsk also came under Russian fire. According to preliminary data, 5 people were injured.
