The Russian army struck the railway infrastructure in the city of Lozova, Kharkiv region. One person was killed and four were wounded, according to Ukrainian Railways.

According to preliminary data, the railway station and other infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the Russian attack. Most people managed to take shelter, but unfortunately, there were casualties.

"A mechanic on duty at one of the units was killed, and four other railway workers were wounded. All victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance," the statement says.

Also, due to the Russian strike, train No. 66/65-166/165 Uman-Cherkasy-Kharkiv is running on a detour route. The same applies to other trains in the Kramatorsk direction - the detour under the reserve diesel locomotive will cause a delay of up to an hour.

Passengers from/to Lozova will be transported by buses to trains in Paniutyne.

At the same time, the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv region specified that the number of victims in the city had risen to 10 people.

Russian strike on Lozova on August 5

On the night of Tuesday, August 5, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type strike drones. Around midnight, the drones were spotted in several directions.

At 3 a.m. Kyiv time, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that the strike drones were moving in the direction of Lozova, in the Kharkiv region.

According to the city's mayor, Serhii Zelenskyi, the Russian army launched its largest strike on the city of Lozova that night. Critical infrastructure, high-rise buildings, and the private sector were damaged in the city.

There are also reports of casualties, but their number has not been specified. However, two children are among them. Rescuers, medics, and emergency services are currently working in the city.
