Lozova hit by Russian missiles: Civilians injured and missing amid house damage

The Russian army launched a massive strike on the city of Lozova in Kharkiv region during the night of Tuesday, August 5, according to the city’s mayor, Serhii Zelenskyy.
He reported that critical infrastructure, apartment buildings, and private homes in the city were damaged.
There are also reported injuries, though the exact number is unknown. Among the wounded are two children.
Currently, rescuers, medical personnel, and emergency services are working in the city.
“We are restoring the water supply. Part of the city remains without electricity, including Avylivka and the Katerynivka village council area,” Zelenskyy wrote.
Additionally, there are changes happening in the city’s transportation services.
“That is all the information we can provide for now. Tonight, the Russians carried out true terror against peaceful people who were sleeping quietly. Sooner or later, they will be held accountable for everything,” Zelenskyy added.
Attack on the night of August 5
Last night, the Russian army once again launched attacks on Ukrainian territory using Shahed strike drones. Around midnight, drones were spotted in several directions.
By 3 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force reported that strike drones were heading toward Lozova in the Kharkiv region.
