Russia strikes power substation in Ukraine's Odesa region: 90,000 families left without electricity

Tonight, December 12, Russia attacked a DTEK private investor in Ukraine's energy sector substation in the Odesa region with drones. Russia also attacked another energy company's facility.
"At night, Russia struck a DTEK substation in the Odesa region. This is already the 20th substation to suffer significant damage in the region," the company says in a statement.
Another energy company's facility was also hit.
According to DTEK, energy companies have already restored power to 40,000 households through backup systems. Another 90,000 remain temporarily without power.
Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine press service has released photos of fires that broke out as a result of Russian strikes on Odesa and the region on the night of December 12.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fires, and State Emergency Service of Ukraine psychologists assisted 14 residents of nearby houses, including 3 children.

Russian attack on Odesa and region on December 12
Last night, Russians attacked Odesa and the Odesa region with drones.
Russian strikes damaged a residential building and civilian infrastructure. An operational headquarters is working on site.
According to the Odesa regional military administration, a warehouse, an administrative building, and a garage were damaged during the Russian night attack on the Odesa region. Fires broke out and were extinguished by rescuers.
No information about casualties or injuries has been received. Due to the Russian attack, a number of settlements are temporarily without electricity.
An air raid alert was declared in the Odesa region at 12:45 a.m. and lasted until 2:11 a.m. Kyiv time. At around 12:44 a.m., Eussian drones were spotted moving from the direction of Mykolaiv region, and at 1:08 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force reported that another group of drones from the Black Sea was also heading towards the region.
After that, a series of explosions were heard in Odesa. Due to the Russian strikes, part of the city was left without electricity and a water supply.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 80 drones at Ukraine tonight. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 64 Russian drones.
12 Russian strike drones were recorded hitting 8 locations, and debris from downed drones was recorded at three locations.
